Meet Kate

Hi there! I’m Kate, the lead lady behind the lens. I would much rather just let the photos speak for themselves, but I understand why it’s important for clients to get to know who they are hiring.

So here is a little about me…I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 12 years. We live nestled in the Pennsylvania State Game Lands outside Carlisle, PA with my four year old daughter, Peyton Piper, our two dogs, Jäger and Guinness and our Flemish giant rabbit, Frankenstein.

I’m a lover of Mexican food, coffee and Target! Most days don’t seem nearly as glamorous as the photographs I create. By day, I’m a yoga pants wearin’, messy bun reppin’ stay-at-home mom and boss lady, both of which I love. By night, I’m a night owl, and you will find me editing photos while binge-watching my DVR.  

During high school, Kate Greenawalt Photography started as a dream after viewing my first photograph that was developed in a REAL darkroom. After graduating from Pennsylvania College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography, that dream became a reality nearly 16 years ago, and my 17-year-old self could never have imagined a better version of a career, but man, I am one lucky woman.

As I maneuver my way through life and juggle being a boss-mom, I’ve become even more aware of the importance of photographs while watching my daughter grow up. I’ve made it my life’s passion to make sure you have the most beautiful, love invoking, tear triggering photographs to remember all of life’s precious moments. I’m also lucky to have my talented sidekick-sister, Abbey, serve as my second shooter – she’ll keep you laughing during the adventure in front of the camera and capture your ear-to-ear smiles!
